Social Outreach

Our Social Outreach Ministries are dedicated to extending social justice of the Church through the voluntary efforts of members of our parish to the community at large. There are many opportunities for parishioners to offer assistance. There is something to match every person's ability to give; be it an hour a month or two hours a week; or many times the need is simply for something to be sent or donated. Assistance is needed sometimes on a one time only basis and other times it requires regular commitment.

Feeding the Hungry

Non-perishable food items are collected on a weekly basis, in the grocery basket in the narthex and distributed by the Daily Bread outreach, to Action Inc. Special food projects are conducted during Holiday seasons. This parish is a major contributor to Action. Your weekly donations meet the needs of many. Milk money is also collected and a hot lunch is prepared and served bi-monthly to Food & Shelter for Friends.

Housing for the Homeless

The parish has committed to maintaining a room or efficiency style apartment for a resident or family in transition, at East Main Place, where they receive training and assistance in preparing to live an independent life for themselves.
