Women of St. Mark
Responding to the call to build a community of women of faith, the Women of St. Mark organized in 2006. In a short time, it has become the umbrella organization for numerous spiritual and charitable groups affiliated with St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
We are one united group of women who have galvanized to build friendships and serve our parish needs and those of our greater community. We walk by faith and carry the light of Christ in all of our deeds and endeavors!
Involvement
The Women of St. Mark engage in social fellowship at regularly scheduled meetings and devote their unique talents on committees to better their church and its larger community. Regardless of your age or how little or how much time you can devote to the organization, we've got something for everyone and enough work to go around!
Bottom line: We need you to make our group complete!
Committees under the The Women of St. Mark include but are not limited to:
- Activities
- Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women*
- Alter Society
- Bereavement
- Children's, Youth and Nursery Programs
- Fundraising
- Newcomers
- Speakers/Retreats
- Spirituality (which includes scripture study groups)

*Note: The Women of St. Mark are affiliated with the National Council of Cathlicv Women to support and empower and educate all women in spirituality, leadership and service. NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the church and society in the modern world. NCCW has been representing Catholic women since 1920.
Meetings
The Women of St. Mark meet bimonthly September through May in Founder's Hall. To accommodate various work and home schedules, the group meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month and at 9:30 a.m. on the second Friday of the month. Attendance is not required at both meetings.
Child care for infants to age 10 is provided at no cost to members at all general meetings.
Committees under The Women of St. Mark set their own schedules but are very sensitive to the demands of work and family.
Membership
The Women of St. Mark is comprised of approximately 250 female parishioners. Yet, we grow daily and accept new members throughout the year. Make your membership our next! You'll find our group to be comprised of female parishioners of all ages, backgrounds and interests.
Know this about us: While we are diverse, we share in common a genuine desire to build a stronger church family and to be the catalyst for connecting our member's talents and interests with specific needs of our church and its community.
