Groan Ups

This group was formed, only last year, to address the need to provide an outlet for a neglected group of parishioners, who felt they had fallen through the proverbial cracks. Too old for young couples, but not available for 50+ luncheons, created quite the quandry for this group, who wished to get together for fellowship, but be home by 10:30 (hence, the motto). Some "do-it-all" Groan-ups are cross-overs from 50+, as well as the Singles group.

At this time, Groan-Ups come together on a "when-there's-something-to-do" basis. Some of the activities in which we have partaken are dance lessons, pot-lucks, game night, hosting the do-nut social between Masses, assembly and dis-assembly of the parish Christmas tree, and Jazz in June.

Future plans are to have regularly scheduled gatherings, with Groan-Ups taking turns selecting an activity. Activities in the works are a Putt-Putt tournament, a re-match game night, and dinner at a grill located at Lake Thunderbird.

We would love to see you, there. If you would like to join in the activities, check this site for information and feel free to be a part. If you would like to receive the direct e-mail announcements (which sometimes require a response) or have any questions, contact Brenda Imy.

We look forward to seeing you, there.
